Who Are We?
Methodist Laity Reform Movement
is a growing movement of Iowans who are loyal members
of The United Methodist Church. We are working to
reform our Church, get the Church out of partisan
politics, and help it return to its Wesleyan roots as
an alive, growing, evangelical Church that strongly
upholds the traditional Christian faith and joyfully
offers Christ to all people.
We are a lay movement.
Every lay member of an Iowa United
Methodist Church is invited to join us. We warmly
welcome the support and prayers of evangelical United
Methodist clergy. However, clergy who openly stand
with us would perhaps be at risk. Therefore, we do
not formally invite clergy to join our movement.
